When Game Center came out we all thought previous services such as OpenFeint and Plus+ were pretty much done for. But
OpenFeint isn’t giving up. In fact, they’ve got big news to announce.
With a 65 million user base, they’re far from dead. They’ve just announced “OpenFeint Connect”, a cross-platform gaming API.
OpenFeint Connect will let gamers on whatever platform (iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, OS X, Windows, and apparently even Facebook games) potentially connect to OpenFeint.
Unfortunately, there won’t be cross-platform simultaneous play, although there’s always hope for this in the future. The idea sounds interesting, and I can’t
