The Sims Social is a classic game, originally on PC and now available as a Facebook game. In The Sims Social, you create a virtual life for yourself and your character and you interact with your friends.
I like the skill set options. You start with a computer, a microwave and a guitar. With those, you can practice and gain increased skill in music, cooking, and writing. As you gain skills, you get money. You also get things like “goodwill” and “love” that you need to unlock other skills and help you build things.
As you progress, you can add rooms to your house and fill it with new playthings. As you upgrade your skill sets, you can also purchase upgraded items for those skill sets. Upgraded music skills can unlock a keyboard, upgraded cooking skills can unlock a coffee machine, and so on. You can also purchase an easel and begin working on art skills.
You can play with your Facebook friends. You can visit their homes, play with the items they have in their homes, and interact with them. As you choose interactions, it opens other, similar interactions. So, for example, you can choose to insult your friend. The next time you interact with that friend, you will be offered several other “mean” interaction options. I’m partial to “imply mother is a llama” myself.
These interactions go the other way, as well. If you choose to flirt, the next set of interactions will include a variety of romantic interactions. Be advised: you can’t be too romantic with a friend that is already dating a different Sim. Apparently the Sims does not support infidelity.
