Classical music lovers now have a wonderful companion for your hobby. ClassicTunes-USA is more than just an app, it is a series of three large volumes. This classical blockbuster Includes themes by Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart, Berlioz, Brahms, Chopin, Franck, Liszt, Dvorak, Elgar, Mussorgsky, Puccini and many more with a total of 211 songs in all the three volumes.

In this review we are taking up ClassicTunes-USA1 which can give an idea about the whole series.  The app comes with rich variety of songs including Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart and many more. On the songs pane you can choose from the songs, composers, genres and musicians or search for the same. While songs can be played by tapping the play button next to the title, you can also tap on a multiple song titles to select them and click to play them one after the other or add them to a playlist. When you add songs to a playlist you can access the playlist in its individual section which can be accessed from the navigation bar. Though the songs list and playlist menu provide enough options to control the song, you can access your current queue in the Player section which shows up the details of the songs, and details of the composer in more clean way while you see a rotating disc, trying to give you an old classical feel.  From the player section you can control playback like pause, play, next, previous, shuffle, repeat and view the playlist queue to switch to any song. Apart from these basic controls you can also search more songs by composer, work or artists over YouTube directly and conveniently from the app.  We appreciate the developer to embed the sleep option in the app that allows it to turn off (Read more...)
